Operation: Military Kids!
Operation: Military Kids (OMK) is a program providing ongoing community support for the children of service members all branches of the military. When families such as these live in civilian communities with a parent that may be deployed, pre-deployed or post-deployed there are challenges that affect the family and the community. OMK is here to assist throughout these transitions with programs and curriculum.
We are a coalition of organizations that have come together with our various skills and resources to form OMK. The organizations represented in Washington OMK are: Washington State University 4-H, Boys and Girls Clubs, The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary, The Washington National Guard, The Army Reserves, The Washington State Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Military Teen Adventure Camps
How would you like to spend time whitewater rafting, hiking, rock climbing, winter camping, skiing, sailing, backpacking, exploring the environment, kayaking, running rope courses, practicing wilderness skills? What if you could do these activities with other military youth just like you?
Well, here is your chance! Through a special partnership between the Department of Defense, Office of Military Community & Family Policy and the United States Department of Agriculture/National Institute of Food & Agriculture, military youth ages 14–18 can experience (at little to no cost) a variety of high adventure camp opportunities throughout 2011 and 2012.
